The commissioning process

Before I begin working on bespoke carved items, I make sure to have a thorough consultation with you to ensure we have a clear end-result in mind. Working with you, I will help create an initial design brief that encapsulates the theme or idea in mind.
From this initial brief I will create a design concept drawing for approval, then once you are happy, continue to create the finalised carving.
I will ensure your requirements are at the heart of my work, including dimensions, material, finishes and how it might interact with other aspects of a collection or environment.

Over the last two decades I have worked on a range of bespoke commissioned pieces, from 8 metre tall totem carvings to free-standing items. From single pieces to a full collection, I am keen to bring your ideas to life.
